Love it or hate it, there is currently a resurgence of Anaglypta® wall coverings. Y’know, those embossed, blown vinyl wads of wallpaper that are impossible to scrape off and probably conceal a multitude of wall and ceiling catastrophes; fault lines, rising damp and the like.
Well, it’s now perfectly acceptable to leave it hanging, so to speak. Anaglypta (since 1887)® have updated their website and their collections in preparation of the stampede that will inevitably ensue following recent and escalating interest on Pinterest and in the UK interior mags. So, whether you want a wallcovering in a heritage style, deco style or even — even, faux brick, be sure to paint it in a bold, dark or vibrant colour for extra kudos, added wow factor and a whisper of envy from your friends at your next dinner party — the one you will throw to show off your new wall/s.
I won’t bore with you with the benefits of this type of wallpaper — it’s all quite obvious really. I would suggest however, that you are at least 116% certain of your selection, as once it’s up it ain’t coming down (unless you happen to have rising damp or a Robert Stephenson steam rocket lying around somewhere? no? oh well).
For a more industrial, edgier and hence more expensive effect, try Rockett St George or Your4Walls for a ‘Brooklyn Tin’ wall style. Coming soon to all hipster establishments of Shoreditch, LDN and Williamsberg, NYC alike, why not in your home too?
